ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4 – the gist of it

Hello Peeps and Geeks! Here we have the ASRock’s Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4. While being a budget motherboard which is less so than the X370 chipset but also having to retain much of its features. What you’ll get is two PCI-E 2.0 ports, four USB 3.0, two SATA M.2 slots and an on-board RGB LED support. Although it’ll not have support for more thhan one PCI-E x16 slot connected to the CPU if you plan on doing SLI.  Will this be bang for your buck?

 

 

Let’s look at the ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4, one of the most affordable motherboard to date.

What’s Good

It has two M.2 with one of them being an Ultra M.2 slot which can support up to 32Gb/s. There are five USB 3.0 Type-A on the rear IO and one internal header located below the 24-pin connector. Also the mobo features one USB 3.0 Type-C on its rear panel. It also has two RGB LED stip headers on the top of the mobo despite the motherboard only having a few LEDs underneath the chipset heat sick. Lastly, it has an extra ASMedia controller which can provide two extra 6Gb/s SATA ports, simply amazing ASRock.

 

Thoughts

The ASRock AB350 Gaming K4 offers performances much like more expensive motherboards despite being the least expensive of AM4 motherboards plus it overclocks.  Although less powerful and lacking the USB 3.1 and amazing audio than its brethren, you’ll still get the performance you need.

The AB350 Gaming K4 is through and through a budget product with remarkable specs that easily rivals other budget motherboards on the market. With its ability to overclock and great SATA performance you can bet that this low-cost motherboard is up with the big leagues to suit your needs.
